Google Earth: Advantages and Disadvantages

Google Earth is a map service provided by Google. You can download this service by going to http://www.earth.google.com/. Advantages and disadvantages of the service are provided below. Please comment based on your experience with Google Earth.

Advantages of Google Earth:
  • Free
  • 3D pictures of landmarks
  • Fast uploading of pictures
  • Up to date maps
  • Extremely detailed
Disadvantages of Google Earth:
  • Less developed countries poorly presented
  • Some blurring on images
  • Needs high bandwidth for best performance
  • Requires Internet access
  • Requires certain PC specifications
